The Skippack Trail

Setting sun along Skippack Trail

Setting sun along Skippack Trail

Finishing the weekend in peace so tomorrow I can begin the new work week in peace. Late Sunday afternoon, I take my beloved for a walk along a short section of the Skippack Trail. Cold winter air. The healing power of open sky and fields. The setting sun. A surprising sound: The cackle of current running through the power lines overhead.

We start out in Palmer Park and walk along the paved trail until the Thompson Road trailhead, before you reach Evansburg State Park. Night is coming. The air is getting colder. Time to get back home.

Over tea I ask my beloved, what should I write in my blog? What is there to say?

Let the sky speak for itself, let the setting sun speak for itself: They will explain everything.

Skippack, I love you.
